Join us to experience the new 4th Street 2-way bike lanes with a 6-mile ride and advocacy discussion at Seventh Son!

Join Yay Bikes! and Transit Columbus on a 6 mile group ride of the new 4th Street 2-way bike lane! After the ride we will gather together at Seventh Son Brewing Co. to learn about and collaborate on advocacy opportunities. We will begin gathering in front of Seventh Son Brewing at 5:30PM and the ride will start at 6:00PM.

While we are celebrating this newly created infrastructure, we are also collectively grieving very recent road violence along the corridor. On August 13, William Brewer was struck and killed by a driver while riding his e-bike on the Summit/4th corridor. On August 27, another e-bike rider was struck by a driver at the intersection of North 4th Street and East 17th Avenue and was listed in stable but very critical condition.

This will be a group ride at a casual pace starting and ending at Seventh Son Brewing Co. The ride will be approximately 6 miles and take between 45 minutes to an hour. There will be brief stops along the way to learn more about design choices and discuss opportunities for further improvement in the future.

The ride is free but we ask that you register for planning and safety purposes. Riders must wear a helmet and we recommend you have lights, water, and comfortable clothing. All types of bikes are welcome!

We encourage you to ride your bike to the starting location but Seventh Son has a small parking lot with street parking available around the area.
