Columbus Arts Festival

Help raise funds for Transit Columbus in partnership with Simply Living! The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) offers local private nonprofit organizations the opportunity to raise funds by staffing its beverage booths.

The 2026 Columbus Arts Festival will be held Friday, June 12th through Sunday, June 14th.  We will be staffing the Simply Living Beverage Booth on Friday and Sunday. Volunteers will be providing messaging in the booth about Transit Columbus alongside our partners at Simply Living.

Important note: The GCAC requires volunteers who have not had previous training to attend an in-person training session before they can work in the booth. There are two remaining training sessions scheduled during May at the offices of the GCAC, 182 East Long Street, Columbus: Saturday, May 23rd at 10:30 am, and on Thursday, May 28th at 6:30 pm.  The sessions last about an hour. Bus fares to the training will be reimbursed.

Transportation Challenges & Solutions: Pathways to Employment

Transportation Challenges & Solutions: Pathways to Employment is a community-focused event for individuals with disabilities who are entering—or trying to enter—the workforce and facing transportation barriers. Participants will connect directly with vendors and service providers sharing information on transportation resources, assistance programs, and support options. Through powerful storytelling booths and interactive experiences, attendees will hear real stories of transportation challenges and successes, inspiring new ways of thinking about access, opportunity, and employment. Together, we envision a community where reliable transportation is not a barrier—but a pathway—to meaningful work and thriving futures.

Transit Columbus is looking for 2 volunteers to helm our booth, talk to attendees about transit advocacy, and share ways to fight for better and more accessible transit operations for all. Email info@transitcolumbus.org if you’re interested in volunteering for this event.
